Chore Chart Schedule Routine for Boys 📚

Apr 4, 2024

Don’t you wish you could know, that you are in the good times, while you are in them? That is why I am making this little, routine schedule, to help those who are helping raise a wonderful child/adult with Autism. Slow down, and enjoy this precious time you’ve been given with them. Person’s with Autism Spectrum, love routine. This usually makes them feel safer and more comfortable, and you both can enjoy your time together more.

My name is Beverly Burnette.

I am a mother of 7 wonderful kids.

One of which, has pretty bad Autism Spectrum Disorder. His name is James. He is 20 years old now. I wish I had this, “To Do”, chart when he was younger.

I am not an expert on Autism, but I have gone to the school of hard knocks! With professional help, I know that helping someone with Autism get on a routine, as early as they can, is the key for them to have success, and I want to help others, like I wasn’t helped, when James was younger.

I wish someone would have told me how to help my James, when I was raising him. I learned the hard way, now that he has hit puberty, that things are tough now. I hardly see smiles, get hugs, or have fun times and conversations like those when he was younger. I learned, just because you didn’t want him labeled with Autism, you shouldn’t ignore the reality of the facts, that they have it. It will probably never go away, and it has to be dealt with. The earlier you deal with it, and learn how to help this wonderful, amazing, Autistic child, the better the outcome in life, he/she will have. If I was able to re-raise my precious son, I would stop to enjoy him more, and take in those special moments. I would have taught him what he needs, to better his life. When you become my age, you realize the, “should haves!”

I dedicate all the proceeds from this book, to help my James to afford the vocational programs, adult day care, and for him to help support himself better.

GOD bless!
