Evil's Destruction

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we Continue in the book of Revelation with Chapter 18 and in today's text we see the the complete destruction of Babylon which is John's metaphorical name for the evil world power and all it represents. Everything that tries to block God's purposes will come to a violent end, In making application from this text we can strengthen our faith for we have evidence of the defeat of evil. Of course we know the Lord will defeat evil but when we turn on the news we see evil abound. This can cause us to avoid others because it seems there is no hope. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since we know the truth we should reach others for Christ. How about you? Do you fail to witness because of fear? Fear of rejection, fear of persecution, fear of social backlash? The truth is the Lord is victorious so let this truth influence you to live in victory, live right, and witness to others.
