My 1 Year Revival 🔥 Lesson 26
Lesson 26: Be Quoting (Bible) 🗡️📖 (Rhema for Close Combat)
Texts: Ephesians 6:17; Matthew 4:1–11; Psalm 119:9–16
Principle: Scripture memorized and spoken is a Spirit-sharpened sword.
Precept: Turn written Logos into spoken Rhema—aimed truth for present battles.
Cohesive Overview:
Jesus met Satan in the wilderness with three precise thrusts: “It is written…” (Mt 4). He didn’t debate, vent, or philosophize—He quoted. The Spirit places the right word on the tip of your tongue when the Word is hidden in your heart (Ps 119:11). Logos is the whole revealed Word; Rhema is the timely Word applied to a specific lie, lure, or fear. The sword of the Spirit is not a wall hanging; it is a drawn blade—used out loud, in faith, with focus. 🗡️
Quoting Scripture re-centers reality: God is true; my feelings are fickle; the enemy is a liar. When temptation whispers “no one will know,” answer with Proverbs 15:3. When condemnation shouts, answer with Romans 8:1. When anxiety spikes, answer with Philippians 4:6–7. The goal is not parroting verses but piercing the lie until it loses power. A Scripture-saturated saint becomes dangerous in close quarters.
Keys (🗝️):

Practice (🛠️):
Build a Top 12 verse pack (3 each: identity, purity, fear, guidance).
Use the 3x3 method: quote a verse 3 times a day for 3 weeks.
When a recurring thought hits, pause and say: “In Jesus’ name, it is written…”
Declaration (🎯):
“I will hide, hold, and hurl God’s Word—It is written!”
