I. What Is Walking in Listening? 👂👣
Walking in listening is hearing God speak through His Word and responding to Him.
Just as prayer is talking to God—
👉 Listening is God talking to you
God primarily speaks through:
👉 His Word — the Bible
📖 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword…”
👉 Listening is not passive—
👉 It is engaging with God through His Word
II. Why Do We Need to Listen? 🤔
1. God Desires to Speak to You

2. His Word Guides Your Life

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
3. Listening Builds Faith

4. Listening Produces Obedience

5. Without Listening, the Walk Becomes Weak
👉 You cannot walk closely with God if you are not hearing Him

God speaks in many ways—but primarily through:
1. His Word (The Bible)

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit

3. Through Teaching and Preaching

1. Priority — Make Time to Listen

2. Persistent — Stay Consistent

3. Purpose — Understand the Meaning

👉 Don’t just read—understand
4. Plan — Remove Hindrances

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word…”
👉 Desire the Word
5. Place — Have a Quiet Space

“Enter into thy closet…”
👉 Minimize distractions
6. Process — Read, Understand, Apply

• Read the Scripture

• Apply it to your life
V. Practical Ways to Walk in Listening 📖
Here are simple ways to grow:
👉 Read your Bible daily
👉 Start in a Gospel (John is great)
👉 Read slowly and think about it
👉 Ask: “What is God saying to me?”
👉 Write down what you learn
👉 Apply it the same day

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth… then thou shalt make thy way prosperous…”
VI. The Invitation — Will You Listen to the Lord? ❓

👉 The question is—are you listening?
